First part of my fan-art of The Hobbit. Glóin was my first choice, because Gimli was one of the characters I loved the most in the LotR trilogy, so I felt it was only fair that his father should be the first character I drew from The Hobbit. Also, I just love that it's Gimli's axe he has! - or rather that Gimli has his axe.
